Data protection

Data protection declaration under the TMG

Thank you for your visit to our website and your interest in our products and services. The protection of your personal data used during the entire business process is very important to us and we would like you to feel safe when visiting our websites. In the following, you are provided with an explanation as to which information we collect during your visit to our website and how we use them.

General aspects
As a company established and existing under private law, we are subject to the provisions of the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz [German Federal Data Protection Act]. We have technical and organisational measures in place which ensure that the provisions on data protection are complied with by us as well as by external service providers.

Personal data
Personal data are particulars on personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. Such data include information such as your real name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth. Information not directly connected to your real identity (such as preferred websites or the number of users of a page) are not deemed personal data.
In principle, you can use our online offering without disclosing your identity. Every time you would like to use complex e-mail applications (contact forms, shop systems, online calculators...), we will ask you for your name and other personal information. You are free to choose whether you would like to provide such data.

Collection and processing of personal data
In connection with your access, our servers will temporarily save data for backup purposes which might allow for identification (e.g. IP address, date, time and pages viewed, data of the requesting computer, identification data of the browser and operating system used as well as the referrer page). There is no person-related utilisation.
Any further personal data such as your name, your address, telephone number or e-mail address are not collected, unless you voluntarily provide such information, e.g. in the course of a registration, a survey, a prize competition, for the performance of a contract or an information enquiry.
We store your information on servers in Germany with special protection measures. Only few persons with special authorisation responsible for technical, commercial or editorial handling of the servers are able to access thereto.
Statistical evaluation of anonymised data records remains reserved. Storing of IP addresses takes place for data security reasons only in order to guarantee stability and operational safety of our system.
To the extent we provide online forums third parties for use, they are not granted any access to the personal data of the forum users stored. We are solely responsible for their management.

Use and transfer of personal data
We will use the personal data provided by you solely for the purpose of order-related administration and fulfilment of your wishes and requirements, i.e. for the performance of the contract entered into with you or in order to reply to your enquiry.
We do not pass them on to third parties without your express authorisation. If in the course of order data processing, data is transferred to service providers, they are bound by the BDSG, other legal provisions and the data protection notices of our company on a contractual basis. To the extent we are obliged due to statutory requirements or a court order, we will transfer your data to entitled authorities.

Use of cookies
In general, we do not use any cookies on our websites. Only in exceptional cases are so-called session cookies used which save data in the storage of your browser for technical session control. Such data is not personal and will be deleted when you close your browser at the latest.
If we exceptionally have to save personal data in a cookie, we will obtain your prior and express approval. On certain pages, advertisements of companies or agencies are directly provided. Here, cookies might be used without us being able to notify you thereof.
Use of our offerings is also possible without cookies. The settings of the majority of the browsers allow for automatic acceptance of cookies. However, you can disable the storage of cookies or adapt your settings so that you receive a notification from your browser as soon as cookies are sent.

We have all necessary technical and organisational safety measures in place in order to protect your personal data from loss or misuse. So, your data is stored in a secure operating environment not accessible to the public. In certain cases, your personal data is encrypted by means of the so-called Secure Socket Layer Technology (SSL) during transmission. This means that communication between your computer and our servers takes place using a recognised encryption process if your browser supports SSL.
If you wish to contact us by e-mail, we would like to point out that confidentiality of the information transmitted cannot be guaranteed for technical and system-related reasons. The contents of e-mails may be viewed by third parties. Therefore, we would like to recommend that you send us confidential information by post only.

Persons below 18 years should not transmit any personal data to us without their parents’ or legal guardians’ approval.
